Nicaro is located in downtown Silver Spring, a short walk from both metro and city center.  Independently owned and operated, Nicaro aims to bring inspired cuisine to our neighborhood in an stylish and comfortable atmosphere.  The menu features local, seasonal products and is changed regularly to emphasize the freshest ingredients and provide variety for our regular clientele.  The space offers alternatives as well, with a fifty-seat dining room and a custom built bar and lounge each with their own distinct menu.

Executive Chef and Owner, Pedro Matamoros’ cooking has won him critical praise and a dedicated following at the DC landmark, Tabard Inn.  Pedro worked his way up the ranks of the Tabard kitchen, eventually being slated for the Executive Chef position.  The Nicaraguan born chef is eagerly anticipating bringing his take of nouvelle American cuisine to the city where he resides.
